What are past event cards?

In my last two posts, I discussed how choice cards and break cards can help with expressive language issues. Students with autism can also have difficulty describing what has happened in the past. This trouble can be magnified once they go home and are asked what they did at school that day. Past event cards serve as visual representation of the days activities and they provide a framework which helps students explain what occurred recently or throughout the day.  Students simply refer to the images on their past event card to help communicate what they did.
